  • Luis Vera

    Dr. Vera received his doctorate at New York Chiropractic College and a bachelor’s degree in pre-med/ anthropology from Rutgers University. He performed his Chiropractic Medicine Internship & Externship in Seneca Falls and Syracuse NY, Health Centers at New York Chiropractic College. His electrodiagnosis Externship was performed at Seneca Falls NY, Neurophysiology Laboratory, New York Chiropractic College.

    He performed his post-doctoral neurology and electrodiagnosis education through Northwestern Health Sciences University and New York Chiropractic College. He is a Diplomate and Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist and has also attained Diplomate, Fellowship, and Board Certification status in Electrodiagnosis (needle electromyography, EMG, nerve conduction velocity testing, nerve conduction studies, NCV and NCS). He has also been designated as a Fellow of the International Academy of Clinical Neurology which is the organizations highest and most prestigious credential.

    Dr. Vera has had the honor of being appointed to teaching positions as Adjunct Clinical Faculty at Northwestern Health Sciences University and as Assistant Professor of Medical Education, Volunteer Faculty, at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine in the Department of Medical Education. He has served as the Chairman of the International Board of Electrodiagnosis, International Academy of Clinical Neurology's Continuing Education Committee, and Chairman of the examining board of the American College of Clinical Electrodiagnosis. He is the immediate past president of the American College of Clinical Electrodiagnosis.  Currently, he serves as President of the American Board of Clinical Electrodiagnosis

    Dr. Vera is full-time faculty, Associate Professor, at Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida and is responsible for instruction in upper and lower extremity examination and pathology. He also performs routine electrodiagnostic evaluations for a surgical practice in downtown Orlando, Florida. He is published and has co-authored a textbook chapter titled Laser Therapy for the Treatment of Radiculopathy in the textbook Handbook of Low-Level Laser Therapy with renowned head author Michael R. Hamblin, PhD whom serves as associate professor at Harvard Medical School and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology. His clinical focus consists of neuromusculoskeletal/neurological pathology and electrodiagnostic evaluations. He is strongly dedicated to helping patients get well and accessing the proper members of the healthcare community when necessary to achieve this goal. Dr. Vera is additionally a 3x World Kata Karate Champion, 3x U.S. National Champion, 5x Regional Champion, 8x State Champion, and a 4x Hall of Fame Inductee. He has been televised live on ESPN for multiple performances and was designated as the Chief Chiropractic Officer, Coach, and National Team Member of the 2018 WUKO National

    Karate Team. He also currently holds the rank of Godan (5
    th Degree Black Belt) in Goju Ryu Karate and has undergone his entire training of 38 years with Shihan Keenan A. Winterfield of Winterfield’s Martial Arts Center.

  • Ronald Brodkin

    Dr. Ronald Brodkin graduated National College of Chiropractic in 1983. Since graduating, he has maintained active academic involvement and has gone on to achieve his Diplomate in Chiropractic Neurology, Diplomate in Electrodiagnosis, is a Fellow of the American College of Functional Neurology, achieved certification in Chiropractic Spinal Trauma, and is a board eligible Chiropractic Orthopedist.

  • Ralph Mangels, D.C., D.A.B.C.N.
    ABCE Vice President

    Dr. Ralph Mangels serves as an Associate Clinician in South Shore Neurologic's Musculoskeletal Pain department. He is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College, class of 1990. Following graduation he completed additional post-doctoral studies in the fields of neurology, neurophysiology, and rehabilitation. In 1993, he was awarded his diploma in Chiropractic Neurology. In addition to active practice, he is an adjunctive faculty member of New York Chiropractic College and frequently lectures on topics involving: neurology, pain, musculoskeletal function, and rehabilitation. Dr. Mangels joined our staff in 1998.

  • Christos Vasakiris, D.C., D.A.C.A.N, R.NCS
    ABCE Secretary

    Dr. Vasakiris has been a Chiropractor in practice in Lindenhurst, New York for over 26 years. He is a Board Certified Chiropractic Neurologist who specializes in the management and rehabilitation of musculo-skeletal disorders of the cervical and lumbar spine. Dr. Vasakiris completed his undergraduate studies at Stony Brook University. He received his doctoral degree in Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College in 1989. He subsequently obtained his diplomate training in Chiropractic Neurology and certification in electro-diagnostic evaluations through the postgraduate department of New York Chiropractic College. Currently, Dr. Vasakiris is adjunct clinical faculty for New York Chiropractic College where his responsibilities include direct clinical training and supervision of residents in all aspects of direct patient clinical care.

  • Anthony Palumbo,

    ABCE Board Member

    Dr. Anthony Palumbo is a 1995 summa cum laude graduate of Life College. He had the honor of acting as his class Salutatorian. Following his College’s motto, he has proudly served the Chiropractic Profession in many roles as a member of the New York State Chiropractic Association (NYSCA). He is currently the NYSCA President and former longstanding Co-Chairman of the NYSCA Electrodiagnostic Committee. He is also an Adjunct Faculty member of Post Graduate studies at NYCC and regularly lectures. He has enjoyed being in active practice for the past 25 years. He is currently part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team at New York Chiropractic & Physical Therapy on Staten Island, New York.
